Brazilians are by law forced to inscribe their personal data in a huge Data Base accesses by the government for security and electoral purposes, but also by financial institutions and other private firms.. now is public and data of over 223 million persons has been exposed and is available on the Dark Web.
This system is managed by “Serasa Experian”, the leading Brazilian credit-scoring bureau, however they already denied the leakage was originated from their systems.
Ironically, Brazil adopted its new General Law for the Protection of Personal Data (better known as LGPD) in September 2020?, but we know it’s different o adopt a Law or Regulation and IMPLEMENT the correct actions to enforce the new scenario or it’s just wet paper.
